The nurses have all made comments that my stomach has grown significantly this last week. I agree as I am becoming more and more uncomfortable in trying to find a way to sit, stand, walk and sleep. I got a new nurse last night so they woke me up when they switched at midnight and then again at 3am for a wellness exam and baby's heartbeat check. I woke up again at 4am with back pain which finally went away with Tylenol and ice. When I thought I'd have a stretch of sleep I had a 6am wake up call for a blood draw. I was wide awake afterwards so I ordered breakfast but both breakfast and lunch arrived almost 3 hours after I ordered my meals today. I was extremely irritated this morning. (I'm sure the time change didn't help either) I have been bothering Joel with text messages all day as I realize I am tired, uncomfortable, bored and starting to feel isolated from the rest of the world. I just keep begging him to send pictures of Sonja since after my short visit with her yesterday it made it even harder to be away from her today.

When my nurse reviewed my bloodwork this afternoon she noted my bloodwork showed I was borderline anemic. This morning I received my T-Dap vaccine and a morning stress test that showed baby at a normal heart rate. I am now at 27 weeks pregnant! I did way too much Googling about the obstacles that Adeline would face if born this week. She still faces high rates (almost 80% chance) of profound to severe neurodevelopmental problems such as blindness, deafness, cerebral palsy, no ability to walk, autism and cognitive and processing delays, among other challenges. However Adeline now has a 90% chance of survival compared with last weeks statistic of 80% change of survival. She would now be considered a "very premature baby" instead of a "micro-premie". I've now been hospitalized for 19 days, have 49 more days till they would induce labor and Adeline would come home in 91 days after her stay in the ISCU. Adeline's odd of survival would reach 95% at 32 weeks but every week until then (April 28th) she will make major strides in physical development and growth. I continue to pray for stability and Adeline's growth so she becomes a bigger well developed baby. The nurses now say, "see you in a couple days" instead of "hopefully I'll see you in a couple days" when they are finishing up a shift. Everyday pregnant makes me feel like I can make it that much longer, again my biggest risks are infection noted through my temperature or pain and if baby is in distress noted through low/high heart rates.
